If READER is not installed, I get a blank “pop-up” box that would normally display the web-version. I have a problem deleting READER since one of the websites I use for work that interfaces with my state court system requires READER to be installed on the computer to open web-based. pdf with ACROBAT fails and all files continue to open with READER. pdf file to open with ACROBAT (the purchased program, not the free READER), is to select the file and do a right mouse click and selecting “open with” – otherwise, setting the default app for opening. I am having the same issue as other posters when selecting Adobe ACROBAT (not READER) as the default program to open.
